Il Posto delle Viole is an elegant country residence set at the centre of a magnificent landscape in Le Marche Region.
Il Posto delle Viole is made up of:
- the Casa Gialla - the owners’ house;
- the Casa Rossa – a house with the apartments Lavinia and Maria Sole.
The houses are set in a large garden, bordered by rose and lavender bushes and with centuries-old trees (oak, walnut, mountain ash, mulberry, hazelnut, etc). Beyond is the uninterrupted horizon of the stunning landscape with mountains and hills, conjuring up an atmosphere of harmony and beauty.
The swimming pool
(12 x 6 m. with water filtered by an eco-friendly salt method) for guests in the Lavinia and Maria Sole apartments and the owners is at the centre of the garden and surrounded by roses. It is the ideal spot for adults to relax and for kids to have fun.
Not far away:
La Fornace is an 19th-century building elegantly converted into four apartments called Asia, Viola, Iris and Rosa. La Fornace was rebuilt in the original east-west position and the Asia and Rosa apartments face west and the sunset, whereas the Viola and Iris apartments look to the east and the dawn.
The apartments are surrounded by a large garden with trees, hedges and flowers, where all the guests can enjoy large private spaces in peace and quiet.
The guests’ swimming pool
(12 x 6 m. with water filtered by an eco-friendly salt method) has a fully equipped solarium to provide relaxation, fun and the pleasure of the magnificent views of the Montefeltro mountains – the same unspoilt landscapes that inspired Raphael and Piero della Francesca.
On our farm we wish to share our love of cooking and wines, so next to the Casa Gialla we renovated and furnished a spacious portico, now the kitchen and dining room, where we cook evening meals only for our guests and organise tastings of organic farm products and the typical produce of small local and regional farms, guaranteeing the authenticity, typical nature and high quality of the food.
• all the apartments have wonderful views of the mountains and valleys. They are stylishly furnished and have all mod cons, free Wi-Fi and a spacious furnished veranda for each apartment set in large gardens offering plenty of space, privacy and peace and quiet;
• barbecues supplied with grills and free firewood are available for the apartments;
• all the houses have private parking;
• the buildings have been renovated using eco-friendly building techniques and only natural materials, products and paints;
• the electric energy on the farm is produced by photovoltaic panels;
• we have adopted active and passive systems for saving energy, reducing water consumption and recovering naturally treated waste waters.
Where we are
Il Posto delle Viole is only 8 km from the town of Cagli (Province of Pesaro and Urbino - Marche Region) with its easily reached restaurants, cafes, post office, supermarkets, shops, pharmacies, banks and hospitals.
On the border with Umbria, Cagli is in an excellent geographical position, not far from the most important art cities in central Italy. Urbino and Gubbio are less than 30 km, as are the Frasassi Caves, while the sea and quiet beaches of Fano are only 30 minutes by car. Many other attractions can easily be reached: San Marino, San Leo, Gradara, Assisi, Cortona, Spoleto, Lake Trasimeno, Arezzo, etc.
